Massdrop just announced something I'm particularly excited about, the Massdrop x Eddie Current ZDT Jr.

OK, no, it's not exactly a new product. It's basically a Laconic Night Blues Mini, except through Massdrop. This means that they will be relatively attainable, at least compared to how they were previously sourced, warrantied, and at 120V for those of us that need that.

I'm not sure if there were any internal tweaks compared to the NBM, but there are at least some minor cosmetic tweaks to...

Impressions forthcoming. Stream of consciousness will start sometime tonight and something more comprehensive might be ready by the end of the long weekend.

I've been reading the manual for a couple of weeks on and off because I love comprehensive manuals. So far, it's a very impressive little unit.

I just received my order of the EC Studio Friday. Hand delivered by Marv & Sons. It had been months since I first ordered it and I wasn't sure if I was making the right decision. Well now that I have it it's removed any doubts.

The EC Studio is the best headphone amp I have ever heard and it's not even close.

Brought this to NorCal SBAF meet with my whole vinyl rig (barely fit it all in my car) and everyone gave it a listen. People of all different amp...

So, since this amp appears on the EC website already I'd thought I'd start a thread where we can gather more info on it.

As far as I know it will have the beautiful BA chassis but with a sound more akin to The Studio.
It will have two 2A3 tubes instead of four.
Cinemag transformers with tertiary windings (different from the Cinemags on BA), optionally upgraded to the bigger Cinemags The Studio uses.
A single 6SL7 driver.
Optional P&G pot.

That's about what I was able to gather so far....
